Seven centuries
of devotion.
One night in ATL.

Qawwali is one of the world's most powerful musical traditions — rooted in 13th-century Sufi devotional practice, carrying centuries of poetry, prayer, and ecstatic love across continents.

Atlanta Qawwali Night brings this living tradition to Georgia for the first time at scale — a 1,000-person celebration open to all, regardless of background or faith. Expect an evening of soaring vocals, harmonium, tabla, and the kind of communal energy that only live qawwali can produce.

Organized by members of the Atlanta South Asian community. For everyone.

What is Qawwali?

700+ years of tradition

Rooted in the Sufi shrines of South Asia, qawwali is devotional music at its most ecstatic — layered vocals, call-and-response, harmonium drones, and tabla rhythms that build to a spiritual crescendo. Popularized globally by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. Sung in Urdu, Punjabi, Persian, and Hindi. Welcoming to all.

Artist lineup subject to confirmation. More details announced closer to the event.
